Maria took her first class in pottery in 1989 at
Southwestern College in Chula Vista, California and fell in love with clay.
She is functional potter, works with porcelain and stoneware clay.
She is a member
of the San Diego Potter's Guild since 2000.
Maria has a studio at home where she create functional
ware and one of a kind pieces.
"Each of my pieces is individually made
by hand and signed".

Maria continues to refine and improve
her style and technique in a variety of art forms and styles
with her primary focus on Tea pots.
Maria has 5 children and a loving
husband, which are all very proud of her work.
